Privacy and how we handle your information

What we do with what you tell us, in plain language. We only ask for what we need to understand your goals and get back to you.

What we collect

When you send the short inquiry form, we store your first name, the contact method you give us (email and/or phone), your trade and area, which path you chose, and anything you write in the free-text box. If we invite you to the fuller intake, we also store the answers you give there, including business questions you choose to answer. Free text can contain identifying information; please share only what you are comfortable with.

What we use it for

To understand your goals, to consider whether a conversation makes sense, and to get in touch with you. Nothing you send here is a valuation, an offer, or an automated decision. Josh, Dan, and the team read it themselves.

Who else handles it

Our website host stores the site and its database. Our email provider carries notification messages to us. If the optional AI assistance is turned on for the fuller intake, a limited set of your business answers (never your contact details) is sent to OpenAI to help draft an internal summary for Josh, Dan, and the team. We ask OpenAI not to store those requests; that is a request, not a guarantee of zero retention. The summary is internal and is reviewed by a person before anything is done with it.

How long we keep it

An unfinished intake with no follow-up permission is deleted after 7 days. A submitted inquiry or intake is deleted after 90 days, unless we are in an active discussion with you, in which case we keep it while that discussion continues.

Your choices

You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, or to delete it, and we will. Ask us through the form on our home page and say what you would like. The newsletter box on the inquiry form is optional and is never required to send an inquiry.

What we do not do

No third-party advertising trackers, no session replay, and no sale of your information. The security check on the inquiry form (Cloudflare Turnstile, when enabled) helps us block automated abuse.
